A Nostalgic Look at Red Sox Baseball Cards

Ed Micale's collection of Red Sox baseball cards will be displayed in the Helen E. Ellis Case at the Library throughout April. This exhibit offers a chance for baseball fans and visitors to explore the rich history of one of MLB's storied franchises.
The collection includes cards of legendary players, notably Ted Williams from 1949 to 1958. Williams, a celebrated hitter, played his entire career with the Red Sox. The collection also features cards of Johnny Pesky, known for his shortstop skills and connection to the team as well as cards from the 1967 Impossible Dream Team, a pivotal squad in Red Sox history, and cards from the 2004 and 2018 World Championship Teams, which ended an 86-year title drought. Cards of Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr further highlight the team's legacy.
