Saturday, August 24 at 3 p.m. Atwater-Donnelly Trio with Cathy Clasper-Torch
This highly acclaimed trio sings traditional American and Celtic folk songs while playing a variety of instruments such as banjo, dulcimer, mandolin, spoons and limberjacks. For 37 years, Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly have travelled to England, Ireland, the Ozarks and Appalachia to perform and teach workshops. These Rhode Islanders, who are self-taught musicians and play by ear, share a love of performing with lots of laughter and stories as well. Since 2003, fiddler, cellist and violinist Cathy Clasper-Torch has been complementing Aubrey and Elwood’s performances with heartfelt, spirited harmonies and improvisation. Event takes place in the Manton Community Room.
