Don't miss FOWL's annual Book Sale fundraiser for the Westport Free Public Library. Have fun choosing from over 10,000 books, CDs, and DVDs. The Book Sale will begin on Saturday, Sept. 9th, from 9am to 5pm in the Community Room of the Westport Library and will continue during Library hours the following week. The sale ends on Saturday, Sept. 16th, with Bag of Books Day, from 9am to 5pm. Fill a bag, provided at the door, for only $5 per bag. There are 20 well stocked categories with particularly large selections in Fiction, History, Biography, Young Adult, Children and Cookbooks. The prices are great! Children's books $0.25 each, all others $1.00 to $2.00. There is also a section of specially- priced choice and rare books, including autographed, sports-related, art and antique offerings.
This sale is the major annual fundraiser of the Friends of Westport Library(FOWL) and all proceeds are used to benefit the Library, primarily to buy books and other circulation materials, passes to local attractions, and to fund special programs at the Library.
