FOWL's big annual Book Sale is just around the corner, beginning on Saturday Sept 7 and finishing up on Saturday, Sept. 14 with Bag of Books Day.

Stop in at the Westport Free Public Library and browse the over 10.000 books in 20 well-stocked categories including Fiction, History, Biography, Young Adult, Children and more. The prices are great:  Children’s books $0.25 each, all others $1.00 to $2.00. There is also a section of specially-priced, choice and rare books, including autographed, sports-related, art and antique offerings.

This sale is the major annual fundraiser of the Friends of the Westport Library (FOWL), and all proceeds are used to benefit the Library, primarily to buy books, passes to local attractions, special programs and other circulation materials.  Library Hours: Mon & Thurs 11am to 8pm; Tues, Wed, Fri and Sat 9am to 5 pm.   408 Old County Road, Westport, 02790.  Info: 508-636-1100 or www.fowlwestportma.org
