Grab museum passes at the Westport Library for discounted entrance fees and head over to the Whaling Museum for:
Lagoda - Below Deck
Saturday, May 9th
10:00 - 11:00 AM
Head below deck on the Lagoda, the Museum's half-scale whaling ship model, and imagine life at sea while exploring the captain and officers' living quarters.
Learn about the business of New England whaling, the crew, and life on shipboard.
While at the museum explore the Sailor's Nook. Imagine living and working on a whaling ship in this pretend-play space with hands-on activities, dress-up clothes, telescopes, play food, stuffed animals, and more. Sit at the desk to write a logbook page or find a comfortable spot to read a maritime-themed picture book.

Discount passes to this museum as well as Buttonwood Park Zoo, Children's Museum of Greater Fall River, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the New England Aquarium (beginning in June) are made possible by the Friends of Westport Library.
